The “One Lovely Blog” Award

for excellence in writing

Thanks so much to Julie (a.k.a. 1writegirl) for sharing the prestige and pleasure of this award with me, especially given my, er, dearth of postings in the past few months.  It’s is always so gratifying to know that one is respected by one’s fellow writers.  I do wonder sometimes why these blog awards are passed out like chain letters, but as it fosters both creative encouragement and breadth of curiosity i think it’s not such a bad system.  Julie, had i been nominated for this by someone else, i certainly would have had you on my list of nominees-in-turn.  As it is, i noticed several of my favorite blogger/writers have already been nominated for this award: apart from 1writegirl, bindo and breathenoah were both on the list.  I feel honored to be among such talented company.  Passing the torch,
