hi. i really dug your poem. but moreso on a technical note, although the "snow" you have falling down on your site at the moment is definitely a cool effect, it's rather distracting and made it very difficult to fully groove on your writing (concentration-wise... and it definitely had an effect on the rhythm because i kept on getting pulled away by the "snow"). kind of like watching a good movie with some other music going on in the backround. then again, i've never been here to your site, and this may only be a temporary whim. anyways, i suck though.... but yet humbly suggest that your "snow" takes away from fully enjoying your good writing and maybe that it should be removed. kudos though regardless of my technical criticism, good poem.

maynard,
glad you liked the poem, and i appreciate your inputs. i reluctantly agree that the snow is distracting, “reluctantly” because you’re right in that it is a temporary whim, me indulging my nostalgia and adolescent-like attraction to the latest cool effects…that being said, i’m going to leave it for now since, well, ’tis the season, but it is definitely not a permanent fixture here.
thanks again for stopping by; hope you’ll be back when the weather clears :)
